Case based teaching:
Students are taught through cases facilitated by a lecturer. The method is used internationally, especially at Harvard and San Francisco Universities in the United States and the Suez Canal University in Egypt. In South Africa, it has been implemented by universities such as Wits, Fort Hare, and Pretoria. It stimulates independent thinking, problem solving abilities, critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication and leadership skills. Students are divided into groups of 10 to 15.
